COVID-19 Cases: Testing and Hospitalizations Ramp Up
In an effort to monitor and control the spread of the virus, Karnataka has intensified its testing, with a health department target of 5,000 tests a day. The recent data indicates that testing has indeed been ramped up, with 7,497 samples tested; 6,621 of these were RT-PCR tests, and 876 were Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs). Of the total active cases, the majority are isolating at home, with 68 patients requiring hospitalization. The recent spike in COVID-19 cases in Karnataka, particularly in Bengaluru, is a stark reminder that the pandemic persists. The state's health department remains vigilant, increasing testing and ensuring medical facilities are equipped to handle hospitalizations. As the world continues to navigate the challenges posed by COVID-19, regions like Karnataka strive to keep their citizens safe while preparing for the possibility of future waves. It is crucial for residents to remain aware and adhere to health advisories to mitigate the impact of the virus.
