In Chennai, power outages are scheduled in certain areas due to maintenance work. The electricity supply will be interrupted from 9 AM to 2 PM. Once the maintenance is complete, power will be restored. The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board has announced the specific areas affected by this outage on July 2, 2025.
Residents of Besant Nagar should expect power cuts in Sastri Nagar, Kamarajar Road, Valmiki Street, part of Kalakshetra Road, Lakshmipuram, Sriram Nagar, and Kumarguru Streets 1 to 4. These areas will experience a temporary halt in electricity supply during the specified hours.
Maintenance Work Impact
In Alandur, several locations will face power interruptions. These include MKN Road, TVAC Police Quarters, Kuppusamy Colony, Pudupet Street, Ekambara Tabedar Street, Railway Station Road, Alagiri Street, Vedagiri Street, Mandi Street, Jinnah Street, Muthamji Street, Kazi Sahib Street, Ibrahim Street, Ajarkana Street, and Laskar Street.
Pallavaram residents should prepare for outages in Kadaperi Annai Indira Nagar and New Colony Main Roads 12 to 14. Other affected streets include Sixth Cross Street, Umayalpuram Sarathi Street, and the area around the post office. Additionally, Old Trunk Road and Pallavaram Bus Stand will also experience disruptions.
Areas Affected by Power Cuts
The power cut in Pallavaram extends to Janatha Theatre and Srinivasa Perumal Temple Street. Ranganathan Street and Old Sannathi Road are also included. Church Road and Police Quarters are affected too. RB Road near Theresa School and Pillayar Koil Street will face outages as well.
In Sholinganallur, Madambakkam Kannadasan Street and Karunanidhi Streets 1 to 7 will be without power. Visalatchi Nagar and John’s Lane are also included in the list of affected areas. Thomas Lane and Vignarajapuram Sixth Lane will experience outages too.
Power Outage Details
The Gopalapuram Nagar area in Sholinganallur is affected, as well as Vignarajapuram, Mohi Florence, and Guru Ganesh Nagar. Residents of Parthasarathy Nagar should prepare for power cuts too. In addition to these areas, Kovalam Ponnaiamman Koil Lane and Pillayar Koil Lane in Kolathur are impacted.
Ampathur residents should note that Adaiyalampattu and KG Apartments are included in the list of places facing power cuts due to maintenance work on July 2nd.
