Chennai is set to experience power outages on Monday across at least 45 locations due to scheduled maintenance by the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO).
The electricity supply will be disrupted from 9 AM to 2 PM, particularly affecting areas in and around Nungambakkam. However, if the maintenance work is completed ahead of time, power will be restored earlier than planned.

Areas Affected by Power Outage in Chennai
Power supply will be temporarily suspended in several parts of Chennai due to scheduled maintenance. Affected locations include Nungambakkam High Road, Krishnama Road, and Pragadambal Street. Kodambakkam High Road and Wallace Garden will also face interruptions.
Residents in Rutland Gate 1st to 4th Streets and Cathedral Garden Road are advised to prepare for the outage. Several other key locations in Chennai will also experience power cuts due to ongoing maintenance work. These include Anna Salai, Greams Road, Murugesan Naicker Complex, and G.N. Chetty Road. Power will also be interrupted along Habibullah Road and Shafi Mohammed Road during the scheduled period.
Further affected areas include Jaipur Nagar, Lloyds Road, Ganesh Street, and West End Street. Residents in the Gopalapuram area and on Vithyodaya Road should expect temporary disruptions. Additionally, Prakasam Street and G.K. Puram will be impacted by the maintenance activity.
Power Supply Disruptions in Coimbatore
Certain areas in Coimbatore-Nallattipalayam, Mettubavi, parts of Panapatty, and Kothavaady-are expected to experience power interruptions due to scheduled maintenance work. Residents in these localities are advised to plan accordingly.
