Residents in parts of Chennai should plan their Sunday in advance as the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Corporation (TNPDCL/TANGEDCO) has announced a scheduled power shutdown on June 7, 2026, to facilitate maintenance work.

According to the notification, power supply will remain suspended from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with restoration expected earlier if maintenance works are completed ahead of schedule.
