Vande Bharat Express from Narasapur to Chennai

From December 15, the Vande Bharat Express has started commercial operations between Narasapur and Chennai. This new service offers a quicker and more convenient option compared to existing trains. The return service from Chennai to Narasapur will begin on December 17, according to a report by The Indian Express.

Chennai Central to Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express

Southern Railway officials said that the current Dr MGR Chennai Central-Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express has been extended to Narasapur. Train number 20678, which runs six days a week except Tuesdays, is the first service to operate from Narasapur to Chennai. The return train, number 20677, will soon start running from Chennai to Narasapur later this week.

Extended Vande Bharat Services

The extended Vande Bharat will cover a total distance of 655 km in just 8 hours and 55 minutes. This shorter travel time is expected to help daily commuters, business travellers, and tourists by saving time and offering a smoother journey.

During its journey, the train will stop at several important stations, including Renigunta Junction, Nellore, Ongole, Tenali Junction, Vijayawada Junction, Gudivada Junction, and Bhimavaram Town.

As per the schedule, the Narasapur-Chennai train will depart Narasapur at 2:50 pm and reach Dr MGR Chennai Central at 11:45 pm. The Chennai-Narasapur service will leave Chennai at 5:30 am and arrive at Narasapur at 2:10 pm.

Ticket prices are set at ₹1,635 for AC Chair Car and ₹3,030 for Executive Chair Car, giving passengers a premium travel experience with modern facilities and faster travel.
