South Central Railway (SCR) has announced special train services to manage the expected increase in passenger traffic during the Dasara and Diwali festive season. The trains will operate between Charlapalli and Sengottai, as well as between Charlapalli and Prayagraj.
Charlapalli-Sengottai Special Trains
A total of 20 special train services will run between Charlapalli and Prayagraj, while 18 services will operate between Charlapalli and Sengottai.
The Charlapalli-Sengottai Special (Train No. 07191) will operate on Fridays from October 2 to November 27, with nine services. In the return direction, Train No. 07192 will run from Sengottai to Charlapalli on Saturdays between October 3 and November 28, also completing nine services.
The Charlapalli-Sengottai special trains will stop at several stations in both directions. These include Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Guntur, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Pollachi, Udumalaiyapettai, Palani, Oddanchatram, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudunagar, Sivakasi, Srivilliputhur, Rajapalayam, Sankarankovil, Kadayanallur and Tenkasi.
The trains will have 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches, providing passengers with multiple travel options.
Charlapalli-Prayagraj Special Trains
For the Prayagraj route, Train No. 04121 will operate from Prayagraj to Charlapalli on Mondays from September 28 to November 30, with 10 services. Its return service, Train No. 04122, will run from Charlapalli to Prayagraj on Tuesdays from September 29 to December 1, also with 10 services.
The Prayagraj-Charlapalli special trains will halt at Manikpur, Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Betul, Pandhurna, Nagpur, Sewagram, Chandrapur, Balharshah, Sirpur Kaghaznagar, Mancherial and Kazipet in both directions.
The additional services are intended to provide more travel options for passengers during the festive rush and help manage the increased demand on these routes.
