Indian Railways has decided to run three additional pairs of summer special trains on important routes to manage the heavy passenger traffic during the peak summer season. These trains will connect the northern and eastern parts of the country with Bihar and southern India, making travel easier for passengers. The special services

will operate on the New Delhi-Supaul, Anand Vihar-Jogbani, and Saharsa-Yeshwantpur routes.
List of Bihar Summer Special Trains
• According to East Central Railway's Chief Public Relations Officer, Saraswati Chandra, the New Delhi-Supaul special train has been running daily since April 17. This train passes through major stations such as Saharsa, Barauni, Shahpur Patori, Hajipur, Ballia, Ghazipur, and Varanasi. However, its services will be temporarily suspended from May 21 to May 25.
• The Anand Vihar-Jogbani special train will operate from April 18 to July 11, except on May 23. Meanwhile, the Saharsa-Yeshwantpur special train has been introduced from April 16 and will run on April 23 and April 30. This train will travel through key stations like Kiul, Jhajha, Asansol, Kharagpur, Bhubaneswar, and Visakhapatnam.
How will these Special Trains Benefit Passengers?
These special trains have been introduced mainly to handle the increased number of passengers during the summer holidays. Every year, there is a rise in travel demand as people visit their hometowns or travel for vacations, especially to and from Bihar. By adding these extra train services, the Railways aims to reduce overcrowding and provide more travel options to passengers.
