Residents across several parts of Bhopal should prepare for scheduled power outages on Wednesday, July 15, as the Bhopal Electricity Company carries out maintenance and infrastructure works at multiple locations across the city. According to the official shutdown schedule, electricity supply will remain suspended in more than 63 localities, with outages ranging from two to six hours depending on the area and the nature of the work.
The maintenance activities include DTR charging, line maintenance, and pole rectification, aimed at improving the reliability and safety of the city's power distribution network.

Why Is There a Power Cut Today?
The scheduled shutdown has been announced to facilitate essential electricity infrastructure works, including DTR charging, routine line maintenance and rectification of damaged or bent power poles. These preventive measures are carried out to improve the stability of the power distribution network and reduce the chances of unexpected outages in the future.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to charge mobile phones, laptops and other essential devices in advance and plan their day around the scheduled outage timings. While electricity is expected to be restored after the maintenance work is completed, restoration may vary slightly depending on field conditions.
