Bengaluru Weather Forecast: The City & Other Parts of Karnataka to Experience Intense Heat in the Coming Days

Bengaluru is now experiencing intense summer heat, with temperatures crossing 36°C in several parts of the city, marking one of the hottest days of the season so far. Weather stations at the airport and HAL recorded temperatures above 36°C, while the main city area reported slightly lower values. However, the

rising temperatures indicate that the city is steadily getting hotter.

Bengaluru Weather Forecast

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), temperatures are already nearly 3°C above normal in some places. Although these temperatures are still lower than Bengaluru's all-time April records, the consistent increase suggests hotter days are likely ahead. The weather forecast for the next two days offers little relief. Skies are expected to remain mostly clear, with only some clouds forming later in the day, allowing heat to build during the daytime, making afternoons feel hotter. Rain is not expected in the short term; the city will continue to experience warm and dry weather.

Other Parts of Karnataka to Experience Intense Heat

Other parts of Karnataka are also likely to face rising heat. Coastal regions may experience hot and humid weather, while North Interior Karnataka could experience heatwave-like conditions later in the week. In many of these areas, temperatures are expected to stay above normal for the next few days.

The IMD has also shared an early outlook for the 2026 southwest monsoon, which is expected to be slightly below normal, with rainfall estimated at around 92% of the long-term average. This may be due to possible El Niño conditions, which usually reduce rainfall across India.

Therefore, a weaker monsoon could affect agriculture, especially crops that depend heavily on rainfall. Uneven rain distribution may create challenges even if overall rainfall is close to normal.
