The summer heat is intensifying across Karnataka, with temperatures reaching very high levels in several districts. While most areas are facing intense heat, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that some parts of the state may soon receive pre-monsoon showers, which could bring a bit of relief.

Bengaluru Weather Alert
In Bengaluru, the capital city, the maximum temperature is expected to stay between 35°C and 37°C. The weather is likely to be partly cloudy, but high humidity will make it feel hotter and more uncomfortable for people living there.
Extreme Weather Conditions in Other Districts of Karnataka
The heat is even more severe in the northern districts. Kalaburagi is expected to record temperatures as high as 42°C, making it one of the hottest places in the state. Hubballi-Dharwad may see temperatures around 39°C, while Shivamogga and Mangaluru are also experiencing warm weather. Other areas such as Raichur, Ballari, and Vijayapura are likely to see temperatures above 40°C. Meanwhile, coastal areas like Udupi and Karwar will continue to experience hot and humid conditions, making the weather feel uncomfortable despite slightly lower temperatures.
Advisory for Residents
Officials have advised people to stay safe by avoiding going out during the hottest parts of the day to prevent heat-related problems.
Rainfall in a few places
However, the IMD has predicted moderate rainfall in places such as Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, and Kodagu, especially in the evening or night. Light rain may also occur in Mysuru and Mandya, giving short relief from the heat.
