Several train services will be diverted due to ongoing yard remodelling work at the KSR Bengaluru Railway Station. The changes have been introduced to facilitate infrastructure upgrades and ensure smoother railway operations at the station. The railway department has taken this step as part of the major yard remodelling project

at KSR Bengaluru to improve train handling capacity, reduce operational delays, and enhance passenger services in the future.
Bengaluru Trains to be Affected
According to railway authorities, some trains will follow alternate routes during the period of the remodelling work. Passengers travelling on these services are advised to check the revised routes and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
One of the affected trains is Train Number 16231 Cuddalore Port-Mysuru Daily Express. The train departing on July 31 will operate through a changed route. Instead of its regular path, the service will run via Karmelaram, Baiyappanahalli Cabin, Banaswadi, Yeshwantpur 'A' Cabin, and Chikkabanavara.
Due to this diversion, the train will skip some of its usual stops, including Bengaluru East, Bengaluru Cantonment, and KSR Bengaluru stations. Passengers who normally board or get down at these stations will need to make alternative travel arrangements or use nearby stations based on the revised route.
Advisory for Passengers
Passengers are requested to stay updated through official railway announcements before travelling, as more changes in train schedules or routes may be announced depending on the progress of the work.
Railway officials have assured that necessary measures are being taken to minimise inconvenience to passengers during the construction and upgrade activities. The remodelling work is expected to strengthen railway infrastructure at one of Bengaluru's busiest railway stations and help manage increasing passenger traffic more efficiently.
