Power supply will be interrupted in several parts of Bengaluru from December 25 to December 28, 2025. The power cut will take place every day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. According to BESCOM, this disruption is necessary to carry out important electrical upgrade work.

Why is the Power Cut Essential?
The outage is happening because the existing 66 kV Sarjapura-Attibele single-circuit power line is being replaced with High-Temperature Low-Sag (HTLS) conductors. These modern conductors can carry more electricity and are more reliable. In addition, BESCOM will also be adding a second circuit using HTLS conductors from the 220/66/11 kV Sarjapura Station. This work is aimed at improving power supply quality and meeting the growing electricity demand in the area.
List of Areas to be Affected
Due to this upgrade, residents and businesses in the following areas may experience power disruptions:
66/11 kV Attibele Zone
Yadvanahalli, Ichanguru, Vaddarapalya, Attibele Industrial Area, Balagaranahalli, Manchanahalli, Attibele Town, Mayasandra, Dasanapura, Balluru, Kablipura, Chikkanahalli, Indilabele, Harohalli, and nearby areas.
66/11 kV Anekal Zone
Anekal Town, Kavaluhosahalli, Gowrenahalli, Haldenahalli, Hompalagatta, Choodenahalli, Honnakalashapura, Karpuru, Byagadadenhahalli, Kada Agrahara, Chikkahagade, Doddahagade, and surrounding localities.
BESCOM has advised people living and working in these areas to plan their activities, especially those who depend heavily on electricity for daily work. The power supply is expected to return to normal after the scheduled work is completed each day.
