Bengaluru Weather Update

The weather department has said that temperatures will remain high, with daytime temperatures expected to stay above 36°C. In some areas, it could even rise further, making conditions uncomfortable, especially during the afternoon. Recently, the city has been recording higher-than-normal temperatures, and this trend is expected to continue.

Why Bengaluru to Experience Delayed Rainfall?

One of the main reasons for the delay in rainfall is the absence of strong weather systems that usually bring pre-monsoon showers. Because of this, the sky will mostly remain clear or partly cloudy, allowing more heat to build up during the day. Weather experts have also pointed out that dry winds and a lack of moisture in the atmosphere are contributing to the rising temperatures. Normally, pre-monsoon showers help cool down the city, but with rains getting delayed, residents will have to deal with prolonged heat.

Even though there is a slight chance of light rain in the coming days, it will not be enough to bring major relief from the heat. The overall weather is expected to remain warm and dry for at least a week. The weekly forecast indicates that some areas of the state, such as Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, and Hassan, may experience light rain and thundershowers in isolated places. These weather conditions could also bring strong winds, with speeds reaching around 30 to 40 kmph.

Advisory for Residents

People are advised to stay hydrated, avoid going out during peak afternoon hours, and take precautions to protect themselves from the heat. The delayed rainfall may also affect water availability in some areas if the dry conditions continue for a longer period.
