Some parts of Bengaluru experienced light pre-monsoon showers on Tuesday evening, bringing a short break from the heat.

Bengaluru Rain Alert
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that rain or thundershowers are likely in the afternoon or evening across all three weather stations between April 28 and May 1. As per IMD data, Kempegowda International Airport recorded 1.6 mm of rainfall by 8:30 pm. The weather stations in Bengaluru city and HAL airport also reported thunderstorms with rain during this period.
Following the rainfall, there was a slight drop in daytime temperatures. However, the temperatures remained above normal levels. Bengaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 35.4°C, which is 1.3°C higher than the usual average. Similarly, the HAL airport station reported a maximum temperature of 35.8°C, which is 1.9°C above normal.
Rising Temperatures Amid Rainfall in Bengaluru
While the showers provided some temporary relief from the heat, the city continued to experience warmer-than-usual conditions. The expected rainfall over the next few days may continue to bring brief cooling, especially during the evenings, but temperatures are likely to stay slightly above average.
