People in Bengaluru are likely to get relief from the recent heat as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain in the city till May 29. Due to the expected rainfall and changing weather conditions, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for Bengaluru for the entire week.

Bengaluru Rain Alert
According to the weather department, the city may receive light to moderate rainfall along with thunder and lightning over the next few days. Officials said the change in weather is mainly due to a cyclonic circulation formed over the Bay of Bengal. This weather system has created conditions conducive to continuous, widespread rain in Bengaluru and nearby regions.
Bengaluru Weather
On Monday, the city witnessed cloudy skies from the afternoon onwards. Some parts of Bengaluru experienced strong winds with speeds reaching 40 to 50 km per hour. Reports also said that Bengaluru's temperature, which was earlier touching nearly 34 degrees Celsius, has now dropped below 30 degrees Celsius in several areas because of the rain and cloud cover.
Yellow Alert till 29 May
The weather changes are not limited to Bengaluru alone. The IMD has issued yellow alerts for many districts across North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka, and South Interior Karnataka until May 29. Another weather system, a north-south trough stretching from southern Bihar through Jharkhand and Odisha up to the north coast of Andhra Pradesh, has also played a role in bringing rain and cooler conditions across Karnataka.
