The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced planned power cuts in several parts of Bengaluru on July 20 and July 21 due to maintenance work by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL). The outages are expected to last around five hours, though the exact timing will vary depending on the substation and location.

Bengaluru Power Cut on 20 July
On Monday, July 20, some areas will experience power interruptions from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, while others will face outages from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. On Tuesday, July 21, the power supply will remain suspended in some localities from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Areas to be Affected on 20 July
KPTCL will carry out maintenance work at the 66/11 KV Wellcast Sub-Station between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Areas likely to be affected include Ravindra Nagar, Prasannath Nagar, Santosh Nagar, Air Force Jalahalli West, Vaishnavi Nakshatra Apartments, KSRTC Bus Stand, Gati Road, Triveni, HHV, DMG, Gemini Industries, Ravi-Kirloskar Hospital, Wipro Wellcast Factory, ITC, Volvo, Avery Dennison, Hitachi Industries, Geetha Timber and nearby localities.
Maintenance will also be conducted at the 66/11 KV Batarayanapura Sub-Station from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The affected areas include L&T Apartment, Yashodanagar, Jakkur Plantation, Century Apartment, Byatarayanapura, Sparkel One Mall, Amruthahalli, Sahakarnagar G Block, Shabarinagar, Canara Bank Layout, Dhanalakshmi Layout, Thindlu Main Road, Sri MV Layout, Fortuna Centre Park, Thindlu Village, Sapthagiri Layout, Gurudharshan Layout, Venkataswamappa Layout, Nanjappa Circle, L&G Enclave and nearby areas.
Areas to be Affected on 21 July
On Tuesday, July 21, localities including Ganganagar, Weavers' Colony, CBI Quarters, RBI Colony, UAS Campus, Dinnur Main Road, RT Nagar, Chamundi Nagar, Dollar's Colony, MLA Layout, Judges' Colony, Kuvempu Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, AECS Layout, Geddalahalli, Bhoopasandra, Kalpana Chawla Road, Amarjyothi Layout, Sunrise Colony, Maithri Bazar, Thimmakka Layout and Guddadahalli are expected to face power cuts between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm.
