Bengaluru Power Cut on 23 July: BESCOM Announced Scheduled Power Cuts in Several Areas of Bengaluru

Several parts of Bengaluru are likely to experience a scheduled power outage on Thursday, July 23, 2026, as the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) carries out maintenance work at power substations. According to reports, the maintenance work will affect electricity supply in several residential and commercial areas served by the Bharatiya City Power Substation and the Shobha Indraprastha Sub-Station.

The maintenance work at the Bharatiya City Power Substation will be conducted from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. During this period, power supply may be disrupted in areas such as Bharatiya City, Kogilu, Hegde Nagar, Chokkanahalli, and nearby localities.

Areas to be Affected

The areas expected to face power interruptions between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm include Bharatiya City Main Road, Haj Bhavan, Bellahalli Circle, Bellahalli Village, Bharatiya City Back Gate, Army College, Slum Board, K.M.P. Layout, Kingston Residency, Mother Teresa Layout, Nagenahalli Dinne, Nagenahalli Colony, Benz Royal Wood Layout, Kumbara Layout, Aditya Layout, Easter Lake, Easter Harmony Layout, Balaji Layout, Nagenahalli Kere, Nagenahalli Village, Regency Park Layout, Anjanappa Layout, Kothanur, C.S.I. Layout, Nakshatra Layout, Lars Layout, Bhilati Bande Layout, and surrounding areas.

Another scheduled maintenance activity will also be carried out at the Shobha Indraprastha Sub-Station from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Residents in areas supplied by this substation may experience temporary power disruptions during the maintenance period.
