Bengaluru Power Cut on 21 July: BESCOM has Announced Power Cuts in Several Parts of Bengaluru Today

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced planned power cuts in more than 80 areas of Bengaluru on Tuesday, July 21, due to maintenance work being carried out by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL). The duration of the power outage will depend on the work being undertaken at different substations.

KPTCL will carry out maintenance at two substations on July 21. Areas connected to the Hebbal substation will experience power cuts from 11 am to 3 pm, while locations served by the Prestige Falcon City, Khodas Glass Factory, and Elita Promenade substations will face outages from 10 am to 2 pm.

Bengaluru Areas to be Affected

Areas affected between 11 am and 3 pm include Ganganagar, Ganganagar Market, Lakshmaiah Block, Muniramaiah Block, Weaver Colony, CBI Quarters, RBI Colony, DGQ Quarters, UAS Campus, and Giddappa Block. Several localities in R.T. Nagar and Dinnur, including the Police Station area, Dinnur Main Road, Punjab National Bank area, Munnappa Colony, HMT Block, Chamundi Nagar, Ashwathnagar, Ex-Servicemen Colony, Krishnappa Block, Nrupatunga Layout, and nearby apartments, will also be affected.

Power supply will also remain suspended in MLA Layout, Venugopala Layout, Judges Colony, Karianna Layout, Yogeshwar Nagar, Kuvempu Layout, Sterling Garden Layout, Vinayaka Layout, and nearby roads such as SSA Road, Ring Road, 80 Feet Road, 60 Feet Road, Kalpana Chawla Road, and Guddadahalli Road. Other affected areas include Cholanayakanahalli, AGS Colony, SBM Colony, Sanjayanagar, AECS Layout, KEB Layout, Bhupasandra, Hebbal, Kempanna Layout, Subramani Colony, Netaji Nagar, Sunrise Colony, Maitri Bazar, and Thimmakka Layout.

Meanwhile, areas facing power cuts from 10 am to 2 pm include Doddakallasandra, Kanakapura Main Road, Prestige Falcon City Apartments, Elita Promenade Apartments, Kumaran's School, JSS School, Konanakunte, Talaghattapura, Chunchagatta, Srinidhi Layout, Avalahalli, Sharadanagar, Narayana Nagar, Muni Reddy Layout, Jothi Layout, Basavaraju Layout, Supraja Nagar, Sarakki, Jarganahalli, Rajiv Gandhi Road, Nagarjuna Premier Apartment, Gangapatipur, Gangadhareshwar Temple, Shanti Shamil, and K.R. Layout.

Residents in these areas are advised to plan their day accordingly and make necessary arrangements for the scheduled power interruptions.
