Several parts of Bengaluru are likely to experience scheduled power cuts on July 19 as the Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) and Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) carry out maintenance work at different substations. Depending on the area, the power supply may remain unavailable for up to seven hours.

Bengaluru Power Cut on 19 July
On Sunday, July 19, power supply will be interrupted in several parts of Bengaluru from 10 am to 4:30 pm due to emergency maintenance at the 66/11 KV Leela Venture Station.
Bengaluru Areas to be Affected
The affected locations include Airport Road, Kodihalli, HAL 2nd and 3rd Phase, Domlur 2nd Phase, Old and New Thippasandra, MG Road, Church Street, St Marks Road, Lavelle Road, Richmond Road, Kasturba Road, Residency Road, Trinity Circle, Ashok Nagar, Murphy Town, Halasuru, Defence Colony, ISRO Quarters, ESI Hospital, Carlton Towers, NAL Compound, and surrounding areas.
Another power shutdown is scheduled in the Peenya Division on July 19 from 10 am to 2 pm due to maintenance at the 220/66/11 KV SRS Peenya Substation. Areas affected will include Peenya Village, SRS Road, Peenya 1st to 4th Blocks, MEI Factory area, Bharat Conductor Road, Pollution Control Board Road, Peenya Ajax Road, Vaishnavi Mall, Kaveri Mall, and nearby industrial areas.
Advisory for Bengaluru Residents
BESCOM has advised residents to make necessary arrangements before the outage. People dependent on lifts, water pumps, medical equipment, and work-from-home facilities have been asked to plan accordingly to avoid inconvenience during the maintenance period.
