The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced a major power outage that will last up to 9 hours between March 22 and March 25. These planned cuts are being carried out to complete important maintenance work and improve the electricity network.

Bengaluru Power Outage from 23 to 25 March
From March 23 to March 25, BESCOM will conduct one of its longest scheduled outages, with power supply being shut down from 9 am to 6 pm. This is due to reconductoring work on feeders in the Kyasamballi branch of the Bethamangala sub-division F-02 HT line. Several areas connected to feeders, including F-02, F-03, F-04, F-11, and F-12, are likely to be affected.
List of Areas to be Affected
Villages and localities such as Kyasamballi, Parandahalli, Dodda Ponandahalli, Chikka Ponandahalli, Balla, Guttahalli, parts of Kamasamudram, Nallur, Ramasandra, Sundarapalya, and nearby rural regions may face power disruptions during this period. Some areas outside Bengaluru city, including parts of the Chitradurga region, will also experience outages.
BESCOM's Measure for Farmers
To reduce the impact on farmers, BESCOM has said that electricity supply for agricultural pump sets will continue during the night, ensuring farming activities are not.
