The long-awaited additional ramp at the Hebbal flyover junction, connected to the KR Pura loop, is scheduled to open on August 10. This 718-metre ramp aims to alleviate traffic congestion for drivers coming from Nagawara, enabling them to reach Mehkri Circle without delays at the busy junction.

Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar recently assessed the progress of the project with senior officials from the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) and Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). He emphasized that all remaining work must be completed on time. The final touches, including crash barrier installation, mastic asphalt laying, signage, and lane markings, are expected to be finished by early August.
Future Integration Plans
The subsequent phase will focus on connecting the new ramp with the Tumakuru loop. This integration will benefit motorists traveling from the service road near Esteem Mall and the western side of Outer Ring Road (ORR) towards Mehkri Circle. However, this phase will commence at a later date.
The ongoing construction involves a ramp stretching from Baptist Hospital to the KR Pura loop. It consists of 25 spans and is nearing completion. The authorities are keen on ensuring that all aspects of construction adhere to the planned timeline.
As Bengaluru continues to grow, infrastructure projects like these are crucial in addressing traffic woes. The new ramp is expected to provide significant relief for daily commuters by streamlining traffic flow and reducing travel time.
This development marks a significant step forward in improving connectivity within the city. Residents and commuters eagerly await its completion, hoping for smoother journeys across Bengaluru's bustling roads.
