The new bus service has been given the route number 285-MY. It will operate between Yelahanka NES Office and Nellukunte, passing through several important areas. The route includes Rajanukunte, Doddaballapur, Kantanakunte and Gundamagere Cross. The service aims to improve public transport options and provide better connectivity for people travelling between Yelahanka and surrounding areas.

According to BMTC, one bus will operate on this route, making a total of five trips every day. From the Yelahanka NES Office, buses will depart at 5.55 am and 5 pm. There will also be a service starting from Doddaballapur at 2.40 pm.

Passengers travelling from the other end of the route can board the bus at Nellukunte at 7.45 am, 3.15 pm and 6.35 pm. These timings are expected to help passengers with both morning and evening travel.

How will these Bengaluru Metro Feeder Buses Benefit Passengers?

The introduction of the service is particularly useful for residents who depend on public transport for work, education and other daily activities. The new route can also strengthen last-mile and local connectivity in the northern parts of Bengaluru and nearby areas.

BMTC has been adding and modifying bus services to improve connectivity between residential areas, major roads and public transport facilities. The new Yelahanka-Nellukunte service is another step towards making bus travel more accessible and convenient for commuters in these growing areas.
