When did the Incident Happen?

According to officials, the incident took place around 10:57 pm on a train travelling from BIEC to Kengeri (KGWA). A group of women inside the coach started singing loudly, which disturbed other passengers. Some commuters objected to the noise, leading to an argument inside the train.

Delay in Metro Operations

When the train reached Peenya Industrial Area station, a few members of the group got off and continued arguing on the platform, causing a brief delay as the train doors could not close properly. Security staff quickly stepped in and brought the situation under control.

Official's Statements

Officials said the same group continued to create trouble at several other stations, including Goraguntepalya, Sandal Soap Factory, Mahalakshmi, and Kuvempu Road. Metro security personnel, along with home guards, tracked down the women at different locations. They were identified and caught with the help of Hoysala patrol teams. Based on a complaint filed by BMRCL Security Officer Gajendra P, the Peenya police registered an NCR against the 11 women involved. Later, all of them apologised for their behaviour.

The case has now been sent to court, and the women will have to pay a fine as per the rules. Officials also stated that the metro security team handled the situation efficiently and ensured that train services continued normally without any major disruption.
