The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation has started the bidding process for signage work for the Pink Line of Namma Metro. This line, Reach-6, is part of the Phase-II expansion project, which is to improve metro connectivity in the city.

Bengaluru Metro Pink Line
The Pink Line will cover a total distance of 21.25 km, running from Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara, which will include both elevated and underground sections. Around 7.5 km of the route will be elevated, while the remaining stretch will run underground. As part of this development, BMRCL is inviting bids for the design, fabrication, supply, and installation of signage and graphics for 12 underground metro stations along this corridor.
Why is the Signage Work Important?
The signage work is important because it helps passengers easily navigate stations, find platforms, and access facilities without confusion. Clear and well-designed signs improve the overall travel experience, especially in busy underground stations.
Pink Line to Open in Two Phases
According to current plans, the Pink Line will open in two phases. The first section, between Kalena Agrahara and Tavarekere, is expected to start operations by May 2026. The second section, which completes the line up to Nagawara, is likely to be ready by December 2026.
Once fully operational, the Pink Line is expected to make travel across Bengaluru faster and more convenient. It will connect key areas of the city and reduce traffic congestion on roads, benefiting daily commuters.
