Maruti Suzuki Arena Bengaluru Comic Con 2023:
The 11th edition of Maruti Suzuki Arena Bengaluru Comic Con powered by Crunchyroll kicked off with a bang, transforming the KTPO Centre, Whitefield into a haven for comic enthusiasts, cosplayers, and fans. Running for three action-packed days from November 17, the event brought together global and national artists, offering an immersive experience for attendees.
A Star-Studded Start:
Day One witnessed an engaging activity with international pro cosplayer Brittani Ginoza, setting the tone for the weekend. The stage lit up with the musical prowess of Shah RuLe, creating an electrifying atmosphere. The spirit continued with a special session by Raj Comics' Sanjay Gupta, a stand-up act by the comedic Azeem Banatwala, and an enthralling performance by OWND.
Comic Books, Bullseye Press, and Hallu Bol seized the opportunity to launch their comic books, joined by Amar Chitra Katha's lively Pictionary session.
Cosplay Brilliance:
A highlight of the event was the remarkable cosplayers who breathed life into their favorite pop culture characters. Anusha Ravi stole the spotlight, winning the first prize in the Indian Championship of Cosplay qualifier round for her stunning portrayal of Lady Loki from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is set to represent Bengaluru in the national finals in Delhi.
Shashank Shekhar wowed the audience as Iron Man, complete with a working arc reactor and a voice modulator mimicking the superhero's iconic voice. His creativity earned him the second prize in the qualifier round.
A Glimpse into the Future:
The excitement at Bengaluru Comic Con 2023 shows no signs of slowing down. Future days promise exclusive sessions with Archie Comics' artist Dan Parent, a Binge O'clock live with Rohan Joshi and Sahil Shah, and a captivating music and art performance by Afsar and Mooze One.
The performance lineup features popular artists like Geek Fruit, and Vilas Nayak presented by Warner Bros, and stand-up comedian Nirmal. Special sessions with Kodansha Comic and Manga Planet are on the horizon, accompanied by comic book launches from Forbidden Verse, Queensland Studios, Bakarmax, and Abhijeet Kini. MC Altaf will treat the audience to a special musical performance, while Gaurav Kapoor will deliver laughs with a live standup session.
