South Western Railway has announced a special express train between Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru and Belagavi to help people travel during the busy summer holiday season. This service has been introduced to handle the expected increase in passenger traffic, especially as many people travel to their hometowns or

go on vacations during this time. The aim is to provide a more comfortable and convenient travel option.
Bengaluru-Belagavi Special Train
Train number 06503 will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 7:00 pm on April 30, 2026, and will reach Belagavi at 7:35 am the next morning. This is a one-time special train arranged specifically to manage the extra rush during the summer season.
For the return journey, Train number 06504 will depart from Belagavi at 5:30 pm on May 3 and will arrive back at SMVT Bengaluru at 5:00 am the following day. This ensures smooth travel in both directions for passengers.
Important Stoppages
The train will stop at several important stations along the way, including Chikkabanavara, Tumakuru, Sampige Road, Arsikere, Birur, Davanagere, Harihar, Haveri, Karjagi, Hubballi, Dharwad, Alnavar, Londa, and Khanapur. These halts will allow passengers from different towns to use this service.
Train Features
The train will have 19 coaches in total, including AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, sleeper class, and general second class coaches, along with SLRD coaches for luggage and the guard.
