The Bengaluru Traffic Police have introduced new traffic measures to reduce congestion at the busy Devarabeesanahalli junction. Starting on May 2, these measures will restrict vehicle movement along Sakra Hospital Road towards the junction. This temporary arrangement is part of a pilot project that will last until May 8. The goal is to improve traffic flow in this area and reduce delays for commuters.

Traffic Snarls and Solutions
The traffic authorities recently issued an advisory stating, "To decongest Devarabeesanahalli junction, specific traffic arrangements have been made to ensure smooth movement on a trial basis." This step comes in response to the frequent traffic jams at this junction, which have been causing long delays for drivers and passengers. The temporary changes aim to make travel easier for everyone by streamlining vehicle movement.
Alternate Routes for Drivers
To help drivers adjust to the new arrangements, alternate routes have been provided. If you are traveling from Sakra Hospital Road towards Devarabeesanahalli Junction, you should take Sakra Hospital Main Road, head to Bellandur Kodi, and then follow Bellandur Main Road to join the Outer Ring Road. From there, you can continue to your destination.
For those heading to Kadubeesanahalli Junction from Sakra Hospital Road, the suggested route is to take Sakra Hospital Road to the Outer Ring Road. Turn left near Ganesh Temple, cross over to reach Kadubeesanahalli Junction, make a U-turn, and then use the service road on the Outer Ring Road to reach Cesna Business Park and continue to Devarabeesanahalli Junction.
Tragic Incident Due to Weather Conditions
In another unfortunate event, Bengaluru experienced heavy rain and strong winds, leading to a tragic incident. A man lost his life when a tree fell near a bus stop at CK Achukattu on Wednesday evening around 7:30 pm. The victim, identified as Mahesh from Ittamadu, was refuelling his auto when the tree fell and crushed his vehicle, causing his immediate death. Another tree also fell on a nearby car, but its occupants were lucky to escape unharmed.
This incident highlights the severe weather conditions Bengaluru faced, which caused destruction and loss. It also shows the unpredictable challenges that come with living in a city, where both traffic and weather can lead to dangerous situations.
Challenges for Bengaluru Residents
While the traffic police's new measures aim to ease congestion, the tragic loss of life due to the storm reminds us of the other dangers people in the city face. Bengaluru continues to struggle with traffic problems, but efforts like these temporary traffic changes show that authorities are working to manage the situation better.
As the city deals with these issues, it is important for everyone to follow traffic advisories and take safety precautions, especially during bad weather. If the traffic measures at Devarabeesanahalli junction are successful, they may be used as a model to help solve traffic problems in other parts of the city. This could improve traffic management and safety for all Bengaluru residents.
