The construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is progressing rapidly, and an important update has been announced for devotees. The Ram Darbar will be placed on the first floor of the temple within the first 15 days of May during an auspicious period. This was revealed by Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti. The temple authorities are ensuring that the experience of worship remains smooth and sacred for all visitors.

Limited Access to the First Floor
Every day, thousands of devotees visit Ramlala on the ground floor of the temple. However, due to space constraints, the first floor, where the Ram Darbar will be located, can accommodate only 800 visitors per day. To manage this, a pass system will be introduced, allowing only 50 devotees per hour. This step ensures a peaceful and organized darshan for all.
Expansion of the Ram Katha Museum
Alongside the temple's construction, the International Ram Katha Museum is also expanding. 20 new galleries are being built to present the story of Lord Ram to a global audience. The entire Ram Mandir complex is expected to be fully completed by December 2025, except for the auditorium, which will take longer.
Surya Tilak Ceremony to Be Permanent
One of the major traditions at the temple is the Surya Tilak of Lord Ram, performed on Ram Navami. Earlier, this ritual was conducted using a temporary technical setup. Now, efforts are being made to install a permanent system, ensuring that the Surya Tilak can be carried out seamlessly for the next 20 years. Additionally, the ceremony will be broadcast live so that devotees from around the world can witness the sacred event.
Naming the Temple Gates
Another key announcement was made regarding the four gates of the Ram Temple. Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Tirtha Kshetra Trust, stated that these gates will be named after important figures who played a crucial role in the Ram Mandir movement. The official names will be revealed on Ram Navami, as a tribute to those who contributed to making the temple a reality.
The ongoing developments at the Ram Temple show a carefully planned approach to honoring tradition while incorporating modern facilities. From managing crowds with a pass system to broadcasting ceremonies worldwide, the temple aims to create an enriching and accessible experience for all devotees. As the temple nears completion, millions of worshippers eagerly await the opportunity to witness its grandeur and spiritual significance.
