Affordable Fares and Premium Comfort

The train's fares are designed to be competitive, with a standard class ticket from Anand Vihar to Meerut South costing Rs 130 for a 35-minute ride. This is just slightly higher than the Rs 120 bus fare, which takes over an hour. For those seeking extra comfort, premium class tickets are priced at Rs 195.

Passengers traveling from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South will pay Rs 150 for standard class and Rs 225 for premium class. A minimum fare of Rs 45 applies for shorter journeys, such as from New Ashok Nagar to Anand Vihar.

Station Connectivity and Infrastructure

The New Ashok Nagar station, a key stop on this route, is integrated with the existing metro station via a modern skywalk. While the cement structure of the skywalk is complete, finishing touches like shed work and beautification are in progress and expected to be ready within 15 days. Similar enhancements are also underway at Anand Vihar station, showcasing NCRTC's focus on passenger convenience.

Inauguration Updates

The much-anticipated inauguration of these stations faced a slight delay. Originally planned for Sunday, the event was postponed due to national mourning for former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The new inauguration date is now expected to be January 5, marking the final step before full operations begin.

Parking Facilities for Commuters

For those driving to the stations, parking fees are structured for affordability. Two-wheelers are charged Rs 10 for up to six hours, rising to Rs 30 for 12 hours, with a special night charge of Rs 60. Car owners pay Rs 30 for up to 16 hours and Rs 100 for longer durations, with a reduced night charge of Rs 20.

The Namo Bharat train is a milestone in regional transportation, offering a faster, more comfortable, and cost-effective travel option between Anand Vihar and Meerut. With its modern infrastructure and thoughtful amenities, this service promises to enhance the commuting experience for thousands of passengers, marking a significant step forward in India's rail journey.
