Amrit Udyan Opens to the Public: Timings, Ticket Booking, Attractions & More

Delhi's famous Amrit Udyan, earlier known as the Mughal Garden, will be open to the public from February 2, 2025, to March 31, 2025. President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the garden on February 1, 2025. Visitors can enjoy a beautiful display of over 150 types of flowers, including more than 12 varieties of tulips, roses, lilies, and daffodils. The garden also features many exotic plants.

Timings and Ticket Booking

The garden will be open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, except Mondays. The last entry is at 4:00 PM. However, it will be closed on some dates for special events.

Visitors can book their tickets online at rashtrapatisachivalaya.gov.in or rb.nic.in. On-site registration is available at the facilitation counters near Gate No. 35 of Rashtrapati Bhavan, which will also serve as the entry and exit point.

Special Days for Different Groups

Amrit Udyan 2025 has special visiting days for different groups:
- March 26: Differently-abled individuals
- March 27: Defence and police personnel
- March 28: Women and tribal women's Self-Help Groups
- March 29: Senior citizens

How to Reach Amrit Udyan

Visitors can easily reach Amrit Udyan by Metro. The nearest stations are:

- Central Secretariat and Patel Chowk (Yellow Line)
- RK Ashram Marg (Blue Line)
- Shivaji Stadium (Orange Line)

The garden is famous for:

- Tulip Wonderland with 42,000 tulips
- 225-Year-Old Sheesham Tree
- Bal Vatika and Bonsai Garden** with over 300 bonsai trees
- Musical Fountains and Floral Clock
- Amrit Udyan Selfie Point, Long Garden, and Circular Garden

Originally designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1928-1929, the garden blends Mughal and European styles. Over the years, additions like the Herbal Garden, Bonsai Garden, and Arogya Vanam have been made under the leadership of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Ram Nath Kovind.

Visitor Guidelines

Allowed items: Mobile phones, wallets, handbags, baby milk bottles, and umbrellas.
Not allowed: Eatables, backpacks, cameras, tobacco, and hazardous items.

Entry is free, but weekend visitors should book in advance. The best time to visit is between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

A visit to Amrit Udyan 2025 is a great way to enjoy nature in Delhi. Early ticket booking and using the Metro can make your visit smooth and enjoyable!
