Ahmedabad is set to witness major changes as Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will visit the city on May 18. During this visit, he will launch several important development projects that aim to improve roads, housing, and overall city infrastructure. These projects are part of a big plan to make life better and easier for the people of Ahmedabad.

New bridge in Naranpura
One of the biggest highlights of this visit is the opening of a brand-new bridge in the Naranpura area. Built at a cost of Rs. 117 crore, this bridge is expected to make traffic movement much smoother in the city. The bridge is 925 meters long and 8.40 meters wide. It also has 99 light poles to keep the area well-lit and safe at night.
Standing Committee Chairman Devang Dani shared that this bridge will help reduce traffic in busy areas like Naranpura, Vadaj, Akbaranagar, and AEC. It will help people reach these places more quickly and easily. This is a big step in improving how people travel across Ahmedabad.
Another bridge near Chimanbhai Over Bridge
Along with the Naranpura bridge, a new project near the Chimanbhai Over Bridge is also starting. The foundation stone for this new bridge will be laid during Amit Shah's visit. This shows that the city is continuously working to modernize its roads and provide better transport facilities for its people.
Housing projects and house allotments
Amit Shah's visit will also include launching a housing project. There will be a drawing event for the housing project and houses will be allotted to selected people. This is a clear sign that the government is focusing not only on roads and bridges but also on improving housing facilities and living conditions for citizens.
Better life for Ahmedabad residents
These new development works will bring positive changes to the city. With better roads, less traffic, and improved housing, the quality of life for people in Ahmedabad will go up. These projects are part of a long-term plan to make Ahmedabad a more comfortable and modern city to live in.
As these projects begin and take shape, they will help the city grow in a better and more organized way. Amit Shah's visit marks an important day in the city's journey toward better infrastructure and living conditions.
