Starting from 1 June, Air India Express is set to enhance its international flight offerings with a new daily direct service connecting Bengaluru and Kathmandu. This move aims to expand the airline's footprint in short-haul international leisure travel. The flight is scheduled to leave Bengaluru early at 5:05 am and make its return journey from Kathmandu at 9:05 am. To accommodate travelers, bookings have already been made available across various platforms, including the airline's official website. The starting fare for this new route is competitively priced at ₹8,000.

Expanding Connections Beyond India
In a strategic move to broaden its connectivity, Air India Express announced that the Bengaluru-Kathmandu service would not only cater to passengers in India but also offer convenient connections from Abu Dhabi and Dammam. This initiative is part of the airline's ongoing efforts to provide seamless travel options to its customers, making it easier for them to reach their desired destinations without the hassle of multiple layovers.
Aloke Singh, the Managing Director of Air India Express, emphasized the significance of this new route in a press release, stating, "The new route builds on our recent expansion into short-haul international leisure destinations such as Bangkok and Phuket." This statement highlights the airline's commitment to enhancing its network and offering more travel choices to its passengers.
Domestic and International Connections Enhanced
The airline has also made it known that passengers traveling to Kathmandu from India will benefit from seamless one-stop connectivity through Bengaluru. This service is set to link Kathmandu with a wide array of Indian cities, including Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Jaipur, Pune, Srinagar, and Visakhapatnam, among others. This development is poised to simplify travel plans for countless passengers, providing them with a straightforward route to the Nepalese capital.
Air India Express currently boasts an extensive network, operating over 450 weekly flights from Bengaluru. This network connects directly to 31 destinations, underlining the airline's role as a significant player in the region's aviation sector. With these new services, the airline aims to further cement its position by offering diversified route options to its customers.
To kick off the launch of this service, the airline has introduced inaugural fares starting at ₹8,000 for Xpress Lite and ₹8,500 for Xpress Value, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers. This initiative reflects Air India Express's dedication to providing affordable travel options without compromising on convenience or service quality.
