Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad has launched a free electric shuttle bus service to make travel more convenient and eco-friendly. The electric shuttle buses are designed with passenger comfort and safety in mind. Each bus features a spacious 2x2 seating arrangement, providing ample legroom for travelers. Automatic ramps ensure easy access for all passengers, including those with special needs. Safety measures include pneumatic dual doors equipped with a finger protection system, making boarding safe and hassle-free.
To enhance the passenger experience, these air-conditioned buses feature an advanced air sanitizing and bacterial filtration system, ensuring a clean environment. Digital clocks display the current time, adding to passenger convenience. For entertainment and information, the shuttles are fitted with 24-inch screens and premium sound systems. Free Wi-Fi connectivity allows passengers to stay connected during their journey.
These shuttles connect Terminals 1 and 2, offering passengers a smooth and comfortable transit experience. Operating every 30 minutes throughout the week, the buses pause service between 11 pm and 3 am. This initiative aligns with the airport's commitment to sustainability and passenger convenience.
Safety is a priority on these electric shuttles. They are equipped with CCTV cameras, GPS trackers, an emergency panic button, and a medical kit, ensuring a secure travel experience for all.
