After Kedarnath, Badrinath Dham Gates Opened Today Marking The Last Event Of Char Dham Yatra

With the singing of Vedic hymns & the devotional music of the Army band, the doors of Badrinath temple opened today at 7:10 a.m. for devotees coming from all across India to get a glimpse of Lord Vishnu.

Devotees go from all over the world to participate in the Char Dham Yatra, which is one of the most significant Hindu pilgrimages in the nation. The four holiest temples viz., Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath, and Kedarnath are included in the Char Dham yatra. Long hikes and days of walking are required to complete the journey.

The Gangotri temple is devoted to Goddess Ganga where people mark their presence to worship Goddess Ganga. The Yamunotri temple, located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, is devoted to Goddess Yamuna. Kedarnath, which is devoted to lord Shiva is located in the beautiful Rudraprayag district.

Badrinath Opens

The Badrinath temple, devoted to Lord Vishnu, is one of Uttarakhand's Char Dhams. In the Chamoli district, close to the banks of the Alaknanda, the Badrinath temple is situated in the Garhwal hills. About 45 kilometers from Joshimath, the temple is located at a height of 10,200 ft above sea level.

The Badrinath temple was decked with Fifteen quintals of marigold flowers before it was opened, enhancing the environment's spiritual vibe. The Char Dham Yatra, which started on April 22 on the auspicious Akshaya Tritiya day, comes to an end with the opening of the Badrinath temple.

On April 25, Kedarnath Temple was made available to worshippers, together with the temples of Gangotri and Yamunotri. On the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, the opening day was chosen according to the Hindu calendar. Until mid-November, it will continue to be open for another six months. On the eve of Vijay Dashami or Dussehra, the closing date will be revealed.

The Kedarnath Dham's gates were opened on Tuesday, and the first puja was conducted by Dharmacharyas, Pujari Shivling, and Rawal Bhimashankar Linga. Pushkar Singh Dhami, the CM of Uttarakhand, too paid a visit to Kedarnath Dham & offered prayers and well wishes for the welfare of the nation.

The Char Dham Yatra is a pilgrimage that takes visitors through some of India's most beautiful and spiritual locations. All necessary preparations have been taken by the Uttarakhand government for the arrival of the Chardham Yatra pilgrims. For the Chardham Yatra, online registration is required for all pilgrims through the website of the Uttarakhand Government.

Though right now the registration has been closed due to bad weather conditions until further notice. It is advisable to keep track of the official website for any updated details before registering or visiting Uttarakhand.
