The Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil Vande Bharat Express will cover a distance of 742 km in 8 hours and 50 minutes. Once it starts, this will be the fastest train on this route, faster than the Kanyakumari Express and the Anantapuri Express, which take 11 hours and 35 minutes and 11 hours and 50 minutes, respectively, to cover the same distance.
The new Vande Bharat Express train from Chennai Egmore is likely to start its journey at 5:00 AM and reach Nagercoil at 1:50 PM. On its return journey, the train is expected to leave Nagercoil Junction at 2:20 PM and arrive at Chennai Egmore at 11:15 PM. The final timetable for this modern train will be announced soon.
The Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil Vande Bharat Express will stop at six stations along the way. These stations are Tambaram, Villupuram Junction, Tiruchchirrapali, Dindigul Junction, Madurai Junction, and Tirunelveli.
