The Nainital Zoo is a tourist hotspot of Nainital, located at an elevation of 2100 m above sea level. It is just a kilometre away from the Nainital bus stop.
The zoo is home to various animals, including the Himalayan black bears, monkeys, Siberian tigers, leopards, wolfs, palm civet cats, rose-ringed parakeets, silver pheasants, hill foxs, ghorals, sambars and barking deer. The zoo remains closed on Mondays and all national holidays.
