Tourists on a trip to Nagarhole town must visit the Nagarhole National Park that forms a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. This national park, otherwise known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park, is considered as one of the best wildlife reserves in the country. Established in the year 1955, it offers splendid views of spectacular waterfalls, beautiful valleys and little streams.
Nagarhole National Park is home to various species of flora and fauna and is known for a respectable tiger-predator ratio.
