Kedarnath Mountain is situated in the western Garhwal Himalayas. There are two mountains namely Kedarnath and Kedarnath dome, of which Kedarnath dome is the subpeak, located 2 km north-west of the main peak. These two peaks are counted amongst the top three peaks of the southern side of the Gangotri glacier. Moreover, the north-west region of the Kedarnath Dome has skiing slopes, which are popular among the adventure enthusiasts.
