Someshwar is a renowned town located at a distance of around 11 km from Kausani. The place is known for the Shiva Temple, dedicated to the Hindu Lord Shiva. This popular temple was constructed by Raja Som Chand, the founder of the Chand Empire. The name of the temple is a combination of the names of King Som and Lord Maheshwar.
