Itanagar Weather

Itanagar is situated at an elevation of 350metres. It has oceanic climate and is therefore moderate throughout the year. Tourists can travel here at any time of the year.

Summer

Itanagar has wet summers. May to June, the weather is pleasant though at times the temperature reaches extremes. Himalayan wind blows over the National Park which keeps the heat tolerable.

Monsoon

July to September is monsoon when weather is quite pleasant. Rainfall starts by the end of June itself.

Winter

Winters are cool in Itanagar. Post monsoon and also through out winter and spring, the weather is apt to venture out and explore the orchid capital.
