Ayodhya has once again become a centre of devotion and tradition with the beginning of a significant religious event at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple. The holy Saryu Jal Kalash Yatra, which started on Monday, marks the beginning of the three-day Pran Pratishtha rituals from June 3 to June 5. With deep faith and spiritual energy, thousands have gathered to take part in the celebrations, making this event a grand and memorable occasion.
The Kalash Yatra Begins
The Kalash Yatra began from the sacred banks of the Saryu River, a site considered holy by millions of Hindus. The procession includes saints, devotees, and temple trustees who are walking with decorated pots of Saryu water towards the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple. The journey is filled with prayers, hymns, and traditional music, making the atmosphere spiritually powerful.
Before the start of the Yatra, respected saints performed pooja rituals at the Sarayu ghat. These rituals were done to seek blessings and ensure the success of the ceremonies. Their presence added deep spiritual value to the event.
**Spiritual Ceremonies at the Temple**
As the Yatra reached the temple complex, large numbers of devotees and saints gathered to begin the Pran Pratishtha rituals. The idol of Lord Ram stood at the centre of attention, radiating divine energy that touched everyone present. The rituals aim to invite the divine presence into the idol, making it fit for worship.
First Floor of the Temple Unveiled
A special moment during the event was the unveiling of the newly constructed first floor of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. This part of the temple reflects the excellent craftsmanship and architectural beauty that has gone into building the sacred structure. A life-sized statue of Sheshavatar is planned to be installed here soon.
The temple's shikhar, or top tower, has been adorned with gold, symbolising its spiritual importance and making it shine brightly above Ayodhya. This beautiful structure is becoming a symbol of faith for devotees across the country.
Large Participation and Strong Security
Along the Kalash Yatra route, thousands of people gathered to witness and take part in traditional rituals such as bhog, aarti, and prayers. The procession moved through key areas like Veena Chowk and Ram Path, welcomed by chanting and offerings from people.
Due to the large number of visitors and the importance of the event, security has been tightened. The area around the temple has been marked as a red zone. ATS commandos and armoured vehicles have been deployed to make sure the ceremonies continue safely and peacefully.
This sacred event at Ram Janmabhoomi is not only about rituals, but also about coming together in faith. As prayers fill the air and devotion grows stronger, this historic moment continues to connect hearts with the spirit of Lord Ram.
