The day is also counted among the "sade-teen", meaning three-and-a-half, and most auspicious muhurats, making it ideal for religious rituals and fresh beginnings.
The tithi timings for Gudi Padwa in 2026 begin at 6:55 a.m. on March 19 and end at 4:50 a.m. on March 20. Since the festival is observed depending on sunrise timings, it will be celebrated on March 19.
