Dashrathshila Temple, Devprayag

Dashrathshila Temple is one of the popular ancient shrines of Devprayag that is located on the banks of the Shanta river, named after King Dashrath’s daughter. According to Hindu mythology, King Dashrath, father of the Hindu Lord Ram, performed penance here. People believe that the small hillock located near this temple is the throne of the king.
