    Palusa Falls

    The Palusa Falls is located in the village of Sajan. Located about 12 km away from the Sajan City, the falls makes for a beautiful view and has a unique touch to it. This waterfall does not dry up at any time during the year and is a perennial waterfall. Always flowing with full glory, the Palusa Falls are blanketed by the lush forests on all the four sides.

    The water drops down from a height of about 40 to 50 ft before it meets the hard rocks downstream. This site makes for a viable picnic spot and can be seen brimming with tourists all year long. The clear water that gushes non-stop and the resilient rocks it cuts into 50 ft down makes for a fantastic sight.

    Nearby is a mini dam located that harnesses the water from these falls. There are trekking opportunities available here as well.

    Kohoj Hill Fort

    The Kohoj Hill Fort is a renowned historic site in the village of Sajan. This attraction makes for some splendid sightseeing. The fort is located above a dam and dates back to the Bhoj period when it was constructed. The grandeur of the fort allows a window into its historic marvel, alongside the inspiring natural beauty it is enveloped in.

    History has it that the Portuguese Army had captured this fort in the 16th century from the king of Gujarat and refortified it. The fort was later recaptured by the Peshwas in the later part of the 18th century before the British took over. The altitude of the fort gives rise to plenty of trekking opportunities for adrenaline junkies. It also serves as a neat picnic spot.

    Moho Khurd Dam

    The Moho Khurd Dam is one of the smaller dams built across the Moho river. It is set up adjacent to the town of Sajan. The dam serves as a water reservoir and is placed close to a waterfall. Along with the greenery around, this dam site makes for a wonderful picnic spot. Swimming and kayaking are amongst the many water sport activities enjoyed here.

    Peshwa Temple

    The Peshwa Temple is a famous place of worship found in Sajan and is renowned for its historic lineage and serves as a popular religious attraction. The temple is situated atop a hillock. The temple, though isolated, has a mini dam in the vicinity, alongside a dense forest replete with a large variety of migratory birds.

    The temple does not attract too much crowd due to the difficulty in accessibility. It is not easy to reach the temple. However, despite this, this holy shrine manages to retain its exclusivity and authenticity.
