Yelagiri Weather

The Yelagiri climate is moderate throughout the year hence it can be visited at any time of the year. However the best time to visit Yelagiri would be the winters, from November to February when the weather is cool and pleasant. For those interested in the culture of the locals, the summer festival celebrated during the month of May can be a good time to visit.

Summer

The weather remains moderate in Yelagiri for most part of the year. Summer is experienced in the months of March to June. The temperature varies from 18° Celsius to 34° Celsius. A three days Summer Festival, which is celebrated during the months of May and June, is a major tourist attraction.  

Monsoon

Yelagiri receives rainfall during the months of July to September. The rainfall received is average and not very heavy or intense. However it is not advisable to visit Yelagiri during these months as the rains could act as a deterrent to your sightseeing and trekking.  

Winter

Winter commences in the month of December and continues until February. The temperature varies from 11° Celsius to 25° Celsius during these months. The winters are cool and pleasant making it the best time to visit Yelagiri. It is very pleasant to go sightseeing and trekking during this time of the year.
