By Air: If you are looking forward to travelling by air, then the best way to reach Lachen is by taking a direct flight to Siliguri airport and then from there, a private vehicle or a bus. The distance between Lachen and the airport is 200 km.
By Rail: The nearest railhead to Lachen is New Jalpaiguri railway station in Siliguri at a distance of about 195 km. From the station, you can either hire a cab or catch a bus to reach Lachen.
By Road: Lachen is well connected to other cities and towns in Sikkim by road.
