Special Trains by Northern Railways for Diwali and Chhat Festivals

With the upcoming Diwali and Chhat festivals, Northern Railways is introducing special trains to cater to the increased demand. Key stations such as Delhi, Patna, Varanasi, among others will be connected. A total of 327 trips of special trains have been planned to accommodate the surge in passengers during the festive season. These services will ensure a smooth journey experience for passengers during the festive season.

With the upcoming Diwali and Chhat festivals, people are gearing up for the festive rush. To cater to this increased demand, Northern Railways is introducing special trains. These trains will connect key stations including Delhi, Anand Vihar Terminal, Danapur, Patna, Muzaffarpur, Jogbani, Saharsa, Jaynagar, Katihar, Darbhanga, Gorakhpur, Raxual, Varanasi, Gaya, Vaishno Devi Katra, among others.

Enhancing Connectivity for Festive Rush

A total of 327 trips of special trains have been planned by the Delhi division of Northern Railway to accommodate the surge in passengers during the festive season. These include Gati Shakti Superfast Special trains, scheduled to run between New Delhi and Patna from November 10 to November 17 in 12 trips.

Timings and Train Details

The Gati Shakti Superfast Special train, numbered 02246, will depart from New Delhi at 11:45 pm and arrive at Patna Junction at 3.50 pm the next day. The return journey, by train number 02245, will depart from Patna at 7.00 pm and arrive in Delhi at 10.30 am the following day. Apart from this, other special trains will also be serving Anand Vihar to Lucknow route during the festive days. The Gati Shakti Superfast special train, number 04494, will leave Anand Vihar Terminal at 8:30 am on November 10 and reach Lucknow station at 6 pm on the same day.

Additional Special Trains

In addition to the above, special trains will also be running between Varanasi and Anand Vihar Terminal to manage the passenger influx. On November 11, train number 00498 will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 8:30 am and reach Varanasi at 11:30 pm on the same day. The return train, number 04497, will commence its journey from Varanasi at 4 am and reach Anand Vihar at 7:10 pm on the same day.
