Located at a distance of 250 km from the capital city of Delhi, one could take a walk through the oak and pine woods or head for a trek in the peaks and also catch some beautiful birds.

2. Auli For Those In Uttarakhand
Auli is known for its natural beauty and the ski resorts. Encircled by the mighty Himalayas, this hill town boasts of its charming oak-filled slopes and also its dense coniferous forests. Though the place is located in a remote area of the Garhwal Himalayas, it surely has a very good network of roads.

4. Puri For Those In Kolkata
Puri, without any second thought, is the most famous beach in the East Coast of India, and is also the most preferred escapade from the city of joy - Kolkata. The beach spreads across over 15 kilometers and resembles a conch shell.
The drive from Kolkata to Puri is a relatively longer one, which would take you almost 12 hours to reach the destination. Visit the Konark Sun temple, Jagannath temple, Dolphin point, Chilika Lake and Udayagiri when in Puri.

5. Pondicherry For Those In Chennai
A drive of 2.5 hours through the scenic East Coast Road or ECR from Chennai leads you to Pondicherry. Fondly called Pondi, the town offers you cheap places to stay, eat and drink. Pondicherry is a must visit for those who are looking out for some peace. It is also a place for the history buffs.

6. Ooty For Those In Bengaluru
A drive of 5 to 6 hours from the Garden City would take you to the small hill station of Ooty, which is considered as the 'Queen of Hill Stations'.
Drive through the dense forest of Bandipur and Masinagudi, where one could catch glimpses of wildlife that has made these forests its home, and reach Ooty in about 5-6 hours from Bengaluru.
The drive to reach Ooty also has about 32 hairpin bends, with some amazing sights around, which would truly make it a perfect and ideal holiday.
