The city of Jaisalmer is located in the heart of Rajasthan in the Thar desert and is popularly known as the 'Golden City'. Most of the architecture here has been constructed out of yellow sandstone which glitters in the sunlight.
It is a travellers haven as there are many palaces and forts in the region which were built by the kings who ruled this region. Though few of them are in ruins you can still explore them and admire their beauty. Here is a pictorial guide of the Golden City of Jaisalmer.
