Indian Railways has announced that the Danapur-Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru Express Special will become a regular daily Superfast Express service from September 1, 2026. The train will improve direct rail connectivity between Bihar and Bengaluru and benefit students, professionals and families travelling between the two regions.

Bengaluru-Danapur Special Train
The existing special trains numbered 03251 and 03252 will be renumbered as 22365 and 22366. Train 22365 will run from Danapur to SMVT Bengaluru every day, departing Danapur at 2:45 pm and reaching SMVT Bengaluru at 2:30 pm on the third day. The return train, 22366, will start regular service from September 3. It will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 11:50 pm daily and reach Danapur at 12:15 am on the fourth day.
Bengaluru-Danapur Special Train Stoppages
The Bengaluru-bound train will stop at several important stations, including Ara Junction, Buxar, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Prayagraj Chheoki, Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Nagpur, Sevagram, Chandrapur, Balharshah, Warangal, Vijayawada, Ongole, Gudur, Perambur, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Bangarapet and Whitefield before reaching SMVT Bengaluru.
In the return direction, the train will stop at Whitefield, Bangarapet, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Perambur, Gudur, Ongole, Vijayawada, Warangal, Balharshah, Chandrapur, Sevagram, Nagpur, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Satna, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar and Ara Junction. The route passes through Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
The daily train will have 24 ICF coaches. These include two AC 2-Tier coaches, three AC 3-Tier coaches, 10 Sleeper Class coaches, seven General Second Class coaches and two Second Class Luggage-cum-Brake Vans with Divyangjan-friendly compartments.
By making the service permanent, East Central Railway aims to provide passengers with a more reliable schedule and a convenient direct connection between Bihar and Bengaluru.
